was firebombed by an anti-choice nutjob. The perpetrator was identified and apprehended reasonably quickly.

This is not the first legislative attack on abortion providers in Wisconsin. The firebomb attack was thought to be inspired by the attempt to ban sex education in Wisconsin. This time it's modeled after the peripheral licensing issues. I don't recall if they've tried the zoning or building code restriction approach.

This attack on women won't end until Emperor Snotty Wanker is ousted. Those who support these holier-than-thou autocrats ought to be required to watch someone die from septic shock.

I sincerely mean this. I thank you, Puddytat, for sharing your very real experience and history of those times before and after Roe v. Wade. There aren't many people who have witnessed the horror and agony that lingers for days before someone finally dies as a result of sepsis. If a young woman is to die from a botched back room abortion, bleeding to death would be a blessing.

Many people scoff at the coat hanger terminology. It's literally a coat hanger abortion. It's real. What kind of device would you think of in order to scrape the inside of a uterus? Again, it's not a euphemism or an exaggeration. A wire coat hanger twisted and bent into a primitive tool that might actually do the job. Or cause serious permanent damage or death.

As I watch the riots in Istanbul, my first thoughts were that this could easily be Madison. Keep up the overreach, Snotty. There is a threshold and a tipping point. It has happened before and it can happen again. The long, hot days of summer will be upon us soon.

No, I don't want that to happen, of course. But I can't help thinking that the tyranny happening in my beloved Wisconsin is pushing the people closer and closer to desperation and action.

    Thanks...

is that people don't know about this.  Unlike what happened in Virginia and even Mississippi that had national attention, Wisconsinites are in the dark about this.  Our corporate media gladly publishes Walkers memes and talking points, but the very real and very scary things going on in our state get little to no mention.

The only people that know about this going on are the listeners to RW radio and those who visit those sites.

And our rotten media is one of the biggest reasons Walker "won" recall.  Of course gerrymandering is the reason Republicans have control of our Legislature.

Money and media will keep Republicans in power for a long long time.  The Kochs are trying to buy up the decent national newspapers so they can shut them up as well.

There already is class warfare in America. Unfortunately, the rich are winning.
