    of support for immigration reform, and then deadlock any legislation. When congressional races get underway, they'll pummel voters with ad campaigns claiming that they have the solution, but the Democrats won't let them enact it into law.

    Once the contest gets down into the weeds of "our solution" vs "their solution", a lot of voters get discouraged and don't make it to the polls after work on election day.

    D.C. Dems mustn't assume that they own this issue. They have to create some bold contrasts between the R and D positions on immigration, and Texas Dems must be prepared to sell that difference to voters.
