    along partisan lines. What changed from 2006 to 2013? Oh right, the Presidency... Democratic support for warrantless search and seizure more than flipped.

    And suddenly now that a Democrat is president warrantless searches are supported the most by Democrats (presumably the most liberal group) and Independents, while Republicans support it the least.

    Lastly, just because something is legal, doesn't mean it's right. The diarists main point that legality is at issue means that Republicans like something as long as it's illegal. I'm certainly not a Republican, but that's a bit overboard.

    It's not a freaking technicality, and you should fully expect this will harm this administration greatly.
