Club Mets. How clever. How subtle.

Cause what this site really needs is more labeling, more division, more accusations of clubs and cults and posses and dumbasses and hair on fire and purity. What a brilliant way to build a coalition.

Most of us here are trying to grapple with a very complicated issue. Congratulations on having all the right answers, you might wanna give people some space to find theirs.

The facts are as clear as day, but there are people who want to deny those facts.

Speaking for myself, I don't want a coalition with people who deflect well-deserved criticism from the government or people who would rather play it safe so they can win elections. I don't share their hesitation or lukewarm ambivalence. I won't play nice or pretend they have a valid point.

The right thing to do is call for action. The government needs to take steps to correct this very blatant corruption. If they do nothing about this massive violation of privacy, this nasty abuse of power, then they've chosen their path. Everyone who apologizes for them has shown their true colors as well.

The NSA doesn't get to spy on Americans.  Period.  If surveillance needs to be done, let the FBI get a warrant.

What are you doing to fight the dangerous and counterproductive error of treating dirtbag terrorist criminals as though they were comic book supervillains? I can't believe we still have to argue this shit, let alone on Daily Kos.

The "My Party, Right or Wrong" crowd completely deserves whatever hostility and mockery they receive. They should be called out. There's simply no good reason to support PRISM. No excuses.

If they had their way, nothing would be resolved. Nothing would be done! While I do appreciate the incremental liberal progress achieved by Obama, that doesn't put him above ethics. It doesn't make it okay for him to conduct Bush-era authoritarianism.
