...in a Democratic primary.  One can see primary rivals pushing a "future vs. past" contrast.

But the GOP can't do that in a general for so many reasons, including that, well, the GOP is the "past" in that contrast, the Democrats represent the demographic and cultural mix of the future, and so it just doesn't work in the GOP's favor.

Really, the GOP is going to have a hard time finding an attack line that works against Hillary outside the GOP base.  She has the trust that comes from being a seasoned veteran, and the freshness of coming in as the first major party female Presidential nominee.

But I'm still skeptical she'll actually run.

... taking her denials at face value. And I suspect that for much of the past four years she didn't want to run again.

But she is going to be subject of massive pressure to get in. From all corners of the Democratic establishment, certainly from her husband, and major donors. She has polls telling her she'll be in an even more dominant position than in the runup to 2008.

Really, I shouldn't even put that in future tense. That pressure has already come. And it seems pretty clear from her actions and statements that she's seriously considering it. At this point I think she will, though of course it's pretty early.
