Just started.  A murder mystery which asks the question "Who killed Rosamund Clifford, mistress to Henry II?".  I have no idea how I will like it, but I love the whole Henry II?Eleanor of Aquitaine story, so I will be inclined to enjoy the story.

Taking a short break from Foer's Everything is Illuminated.  Have read enough to conclude that Foer is a skilled writer with an interesting perspective.  As opposed to a great writer with a profound perspective.  Clever does not equal brilliant.  Still, I will get back to it at some point in the near future.

Going on vacation next week, so I likely won't be here to talk about what I'm reading next Wednesday.  I have found that my plans for reading are usually much greater than my capacity, while on vacation.  So, this year, the only book I am taking is Temple Grandin's new book The Autistic Brain; Thinking Across the Spectrum.  With my son being an autistic, I read a fair amount concerning the spectrum.  But Grandin's Animals in Translation probably gave me the most useful insight, in terms of helping me relate to my son.  (I also recommend No Fighting, No Biting, No Screaming by Bo Hejlskov Elven, for tactical advice.)

The latest book's title is self-explanatory; it gives the latest data available on the autistic brain.  I expect that, with Grandin's personal perspective, I will learn more useful information for being of greater service to my son.
