I'm sorry they're sending you through insane loops. IT's not just your state though. Florida mistyped my address 4 times, resulting in their cancelling my medically needy the last time I was in the hospital. I finally got it fixed and they paid it retroactively, but it was a pain in the behind.

And my child support payment card is still listed at the old address. I called the customer service number on the card, and got a phone tree where changing your address wasn't an option. So I tried to log onto the website, which has never worked for me, and once again, they don't recognize the card number they issued. Nor do they recognize the case number I've had for 15 years. According to their records I don't exist. The card expires in August. They're going to try to send me a replacement next month and it's going to bounce back to them if I don't figure out how to fix it by then. Then they'll cancel my child support because I won't exist again. I've tried calling the local office, they said they don't handle the cards and to call the customer service number on the card. I'm going to have to try to find an email somewhere for it I guess.

    •  That is what is most grating (6+ / 0-)

      they do this intentionally.

      Only to cause us grief.

Is there a fax number. Or a regular mail address?

If so. You could write a short letter explaining the problem. Then have the letter notarized at a bank (about $2 if you have an account. Not too much even without one.)

Then fax it, or mail it registered mail, you don't even need return receipt, there's a phone # on the registered mail slip that you can call and find out when it was delivered. About $4 to mail). That's how Lawyers correspond with each other.

Sometimes you just have to put it in writing. Also then you know the info is correct and you have a record you sent it too.  Answering machines are kind of unreliable.

them beyond the webpage and the phone number. If you click on the contact us page of the webpage, it just gives you the same phone number, no address, no fax number. And there's NO way to a human on that phone tree. I'm going to have to search for company contact information away from the official site. But I'm too tired and frustrated tonight to do it. I'll work on it tomorrow.
