Like you I'm in another state quite different from Ma but I'm a Democrat and have always had a soft spot for Ma Democrats since I first voted for JFK in 1960.  Additionally, I saw that Fux news paid "contributor" today saying Markey's  campaign was dead, no energy, no enthusiasm, blah, blah, bla and the President was so "scandal" ridden he wouldn't help.  Of course I knew it was a lie because it came from Scott Brown's mouth but it's nice to see proof of the lie in these pictures.

Thank you, fenway.  And why isn't this on the wreck list?

said Elizabeth Warren's campaign was going nowhere too. We don't have quite the energy in this special election that we had in November, but we've still got a lot. Tonight I'm going to a meeting of core volunteers in my city. We have dozens of people coming, so many I need to bring folding chairs. There was nothing like this in 2010.

Where the enthusiasm really seems to lacking is on the GOP side. They really rallied behind Brown, but there seems to be little or no Gomez presence. They bragged to the newspaper that they'd made "over 3,000" volunteer recruitment calls and had "dozens" of volunteers in each county. We have 14 counties. They might have a couple hundred volunteers statewide. We have that many in just my city. We made 5,000 volunteer recruitment calls in two days.

More people are coming in to help every day now that it's late. That's why we've talked to a million voters in Massachusetts. In the typical non-Presidential election here, only 2.2 million votes are cast.

    •  Coakley barely ran, which is why she lost (7+ / 0-)

She assumed she was a shoe-in vs the joke that was Scott Brown.

Markey did not make that mistake. He has been campaigning almost non-stop since the start. Faux News is actually doing him a favor, because the only people who believe them are the very people Gomez would have to turn out, and if faux convinces them that Markey's not going to win, guess who's not going to feel motivated to go vote?

Markey will win, but it would be nice if he could win by a comfortable margin, which means getting people to turn out. Hopefully, the ground game w/canvassing and phone banking will be strong. He has brought in some serious organizing talent on that front, and he's been using social media well, so I think there's a chance for a decent margin.
