And when the house contract is finished I can read it in full.  And when the TPP is finished Congress can read it in full.  If you'd like a preview, look at previous ones.

    •  Just like with ACTA, right? Oh, wait... (2+ / 0-)

...That never happened. In fact Ron Wyden is still asking the White House for a proper Senate hearing on that one — because Obama claimed to have executive privilege to sign it unilaterally. (Tough beans that the pesky Constitution gives the power to ratify treaties to the Senate, not presidential decree.)

I fully expect the White House to try the same stunt with TPP — which makes getting out in front of this & shining a bright light on it all the more important. We have to force the Washington neolibs onto the defensive & expose their corporate fascist schemes until they stop trying them.

If we don't, much worse than SOPA is headed our way.

But why does the Senate need White House approval to hold a hearing on ACTA?  Pretty sure Congress has their own authority to hold hearings on any topic they so desire.

Every other free trade agreement has gone through Congress and I expect TPP would as well.  No reason to think otherwise.
