managed to get the Arizona Legislature to pass
    the Medicaid Expansion.

She Refused to sign ANYTHING until that bill Passed.

Outside of Arizona, that Behavior is called EXTORTION.

Extortion is Standard Operating Policy for Wingnuts
    and Teabaggers.

Outside of Arizona, Extortion is a CRIME.

It is Nice that Jan Brewer did the Right thing for the
    Folks of Arizona.

Still, NO Prize for Behaving like a Criminal.

The Republican state House Chairman was doing what the Republicans do in the US Senate, block the majority from passing something they don't like. There was always a majority in both the House and the Senate to pass AHCCCS (Medicaid) expansion. In the House - all 20 Democrats and 12-14 moderate Republicans. The GOP House Chairman was blocking bringing it up to a vote, and then recessed for a few days, doing nothing. Brewer called a Special Session and got it passed by the bipartisan majority.

I don't think Brewer is eying the 2016 Senate race, she'll be 72 then. I do think looking out for Jan Brewer is her number 1 priority, but that includes thinking of her legacy, she wants to be remembered for something other than SB1070. And she understands the medicaid money is a very good deal for the state.

David Koch, a teacher and a Tea Partier sit down a table with a plate of a dozen cookies. Koch quickly stuffs 11 cookies in his pockets, leans to the bagger and says "watch out, the union thug will try to steal your cookie".
