  •  Thank you, Jake. (5+ / 0-)

Your blog on Wisconsin is one of the ones I follow most closely.  (I'm not linking to it because you didn't... but you oughtta.  I bet there are others here who would like to know about it.)

I got polled for this too.  And there was one question where the choices were "A Lot, Some, A Little, None" and I asked "Can I say negative?"  That question was about confidence in the ability of the corrupt Walker-led Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) to bring jobs to the state.

It was the results on this question that disturbed me the most, actually.  Seeing as how since the last time they polled the question, there has been an absolutely SCATHING audit of the WEDC...

The topline isn't so disturbing -- people answering "A Lot" or "Some" confidence fell from 52% in November to 40% in June.  So at least somebody's paying attention!

But then if you look at the research brief that accompanies the survey... the kicker that confirms your  "delusional bubble" thesis is on Page 9 where they break the question down by party affiliation.

Republican confidence in the WEDC is up since November.  Republican confidence in the WEDC ("a lot" or "some") JUMPED ten points across the period of the scathing audit and appalling revelations, from 74% to 84%.

Among GOP partisans who listen to RW squawk-media, the spin was enough to turn even the WEDC's shit into gold.

    Now THAT's scary.
