    If health insurance were like home-owner’s insurance or automobile insurance, and each person paid for it himself, we would not have these consequences, which might have been unintended, but were certainly not unforeseen.  And we would not have to worry about offending religious employers with birth-control coverage.

    Oh, by the way.  Just to make you feel worse than you already do, don’t be surprised if you find that you have to work off the clock to keep from being fired, in which you pretend not to be working overtime, and your boss pretends not to know anything about it.

        of the population were uninsured then no one would be no hospitals.

        The amount they would have to bill those with insurance to make up for those without insurance would be astronomical.

        The benefit of that, however, would be the government would have no choice but to go to single payer.

        Republican tax policies have led to financial conditions which have caused Republicans to demand cuts to programs they have always opposed.
