how much this law is being fear-mongered.

Many on Capital Hill Fear Obamacare Will Lead to Brain Drain

It is not just the man on the street who is worried his health insurance premiums will skyrocket next year when the full load of the Affordable Care Act’s provisions go into effect. Dozens of lawmakers and their aides are so worried their health insurance will reach unmanageable levels that they are thinking about retiring early, or even just quitting. Obamacare’s mandates will cause their government-subsidized premiums to disappear at the end of this year.

Currently, aids and lawmakers receive their healthcare coverage under the generous Federal Employee Benefits Program where the government subsidizes as much as 75 percent of premiums. However, Obamacare — signed into law in March of 2010 — contained a provision known as the Grassley Amendment, which only allowed the government to offer members of Congress and their staff plans that are “created” in the bill or “offered through an exchange.”

In 2014, most Capitol Hill aides and members of Congress will be put onto the exchanges, and there has been no guidance whether the government will subsidize those premiums. Thus, their costs could skyrocket.

Medicare D was passed by a Republican-dominanted congress and it was a major, in some cases, life-altering change to Medicare in that it suddenly shifted cost of prescription medication to seniors and created the so-called donut hole.

That donut hole had to be filled by a Democratic-dominated congress that sent $250 checks to seniors who fell in the donut hole.

I have never seen a bill so religiously fear-mongered by Yahoo! headlines and met with organized resistance from businesses.

The unsustainable status quo--30 million uninsured and incessantly rising premiums--never got this much attention from Yahoo! and CEOs, but now that more of their fellow Americans are finally going to be covered they are all in on fear-mongering about the impending Obamacaregeddon.

It is truly sick and twisted that businesses are cutting hours and instead of taking the responsibility themselves and owning the fact that they are the ones who did not want to insure part-time employees before Obamacare and do not want to insure them after Obamacare, they want to blame it on the big, bad government that is making them cut their employees hours.

Dear owners: Who is making you cut their benefits? It's you and it has always been you, you slimebags.
