    •  My point? Those who signed it and are now (0+ / 0-)

coming out against it as though it just materialized without them knowing anything about it are hypocritical assholes? I think that sums it up pretty well. If it's wrong, it was wrong when they signed it. Not when it became unpopular.

I'd like to start a new meme: "No means no" is a misnomer. It should be "Only 'Yes' means yes." Just because someone doesn't say "No" doesn't mean they've given consent. If she didn't say "Yes", there is no consent.

Why shoot the messenger?  Especially when they are correct.  These NSA programs are the greatest overreach I have ever seen.  Worse than McCarthy b/c the technology is so much more advanced IMHO.

When considering where this type of program can continue to blossom... It boggles the mind.

        - They can accuse and go back in your data stream to create the "evidence", circumstantial or not

        -  Speaking of "evidence", they apparently have access to your drive (hard or cloud) and can create some if they can't find anything "incriminating"

This is but one small example.  The question one should be asking is WHY?  Why ALL Americans?  The "F" in FISA stands for FOREIGN, not Federal after all.

Fascism and Totalitarianism is the ultimate result.

I mean those words in the true sense and NOT the way in which baggers constantly misconstrue.   ;-)

Finally, we are not talking about the Patriot Act; in case you didn't notice.

        Peace

Letting Republicans run the government is like putting Atheists in charge of a church. They don't believe in it, don't care if it works - and they take no responsibility for the results.

        •  Do you even now WTF you're talking about? (0+ / 0-)

          Computer says: "Noooooo".

        Act reauthorization without reform.

So Alan, if you are reading this: WTF? Most of us here knew the Patriot Act was horrendous back in 2001. What's your excuse?
