Did you watch the Nadler/Mueller exchange? His questioning betrayed some rather unfortunate confusion. And the "walkback", or clarification or whatever it is, is pathetic. Seems to me his expertise is limited to constitutional law and waded in over his head.

but yeah CNET.. let's all gather round libertarian nutjob Declan "Al Gore invented the internet" McCullagh.

Yeah, whole thing is just confusing.

Diary title, on second thought, is fine. Just felt like some who still want to believe CNET will take it as Nadler being forced to back off his comments or something.

But I guess they are going to feel that way no matter what.

I mean geez, this is supposed to be secret, it is no surprise that there is confusion given the several thousand year human history of deceit, misinformation, and misdirection.

And another great way to discredit your 'enemies', plant bullshit and then laugh at the people who step in it.

This becomes another stick to bash GG, Brit, and dkos any more seem to be needed.

      How convenient.

        uh... meh

The piece was rubbish, and thinking people withheld judgment.

Greenwald, thus far, is characteristically mum.

I can't say that from any evidence in this story, I am still keeping my conclusions at bay for now...but history suggests it is a possibility as well...altho my guess here is people anxious to be first with The Brit did mention about spelling errors.

The history of information management is rife with such bullshit and strategies however...leaping to great conclusive statements is unwarranted given the issues here..altho there have been other references to content throughout the last decade but no conclusive sworn testimony and congressional hearings which is what made this an interesting bit of bullshit.
