    Weren't the guards charged with the Abu Ghraib atrocities prison guards in their regular lives? With current Justice Dept. policy that winks at torture, don't you think there will be cross pollenation when Gitmo and Ghraib guards return to their civilian duties.  

    Seems to me that things will get worse before they get better.

      and it didn't surprise me much. that such things aren't usually worthy of investigative journalism when they occur here at home is a disgrace. as for those guys coming home, i think we're in for a load of trouble, and not just with prison guards. we have got to make sure that vets get decent mental health care and trauma counseling when they come back.
