  •  I am very fortunate to have my dad. There was a (10+ / 0-)

    spell there where my brother and I had a hard time seeing eye to eye with him, but my relationship with him is strong.

    Next weekend my father and I are going to do something rather special together: he is coming up to Maine to attend my being raised as a Master Mason at my lodge next Saturday. I will be the fifth generation of men in my family to be Freemasons. I think my father is rather proud of that, and I'm so lucky to be able to share this with my dad.

    Today, Tommy and JoAnn and their eldest son and my brother and his wife and sons and a couple of dear friends of mine went up to The Rock and scattered Terun's (GreenMountainBoy02's) ashes. It was good to have the core of the family together to do that. Now we're going to eat lobster.
