    run through the algorithms looking for red flags.  If some flags trip, that's when the analysts theoretically go to the courts for the warrants within that 48 hour (I think) time period they have if they read the mail/listen to the phone call first.

    Are the algorithms perfect?  

    By no means.  Somebody's stuff will get looked at by mistake.

    But as I've said all through this, we have 21st Century tech and 19th and 20th Century laws.

    And what happens when tech evolves to the next thing?
