  •  No, there are many who exhibit these traits, (7+ / 0-)

from the elite to the under class, but they are
just a varying portion of our collective humanity,
as these recurring social mutations are not, and will
never be a successful adaptation for group survival.
It may even appear as such temporarily, but the
historical evidence speaks clearly as to the arc of justice.

It is just as easy to find glimpses of the common kindness
and selflessness that makes up most of our interactions,
if one should only care to perceive them. The dueling acts
of competition versus cooperation are likely both needed.
There appears to be an ebb and flow of these attributes in us all, yes?

Perhaps when we recognize that these traits can be
present and emerge in anyone, everywhere, and more
importantly, their specific environmental triggers, then
we will have taken the first steps against the appearance
and eternal recurrence of so called 'evil' in our midst.

Of course, while certain rhetorics are mostly harmless,
their concrete manifestations demand reaction and are
one of the main reasons humans still gather together.

Interesting that secrecy and privacy take on such
differing meanings in these ambiguous contexts.

Thanks for all of your efforts.
