  •  No, I don't care about that, and they're doing it (0+ / 0-)

to us too.  Surely you understand that.
And the USSR was a trade partner throughout the Cold War.  Trading partner status has nothing to do with anything.

Why do you care about spying on China/Russia?  Why not stick with the NSA spying on Americans issue?  Why are you conflating spying on China and Russia with spying on Americans?  Just because Snowden conflated the issue (losing him some support, according to a link posted upthread), doesn't mean that progressives need to do the same.

I care about targeting civilian infrastructure in ways that could backfire horribly. I assume that we're listening to everything that the Russian and Chinese say whenever we can. That's the whole job of the NSA. If they weren't doing that then I'd have to wonder why they even exist.

    •  And to clarify (0+ / 0-)

I don't understand why he decided to report that we were spying on Russion and Chinese diplomats. It wasn't a revelation to them for sure. I think he has no clue what he's doing and while I'm glad he released the info about domestic spying us spying on Rusia and China is completely not news-worthy.
