  •  Too clever by half (0+ / 0-)

The "Nixon plan" was far more generous than anything anyone was willing to propose in 2009.

The very comparison shows how laughable, just how "incremental" ACA actually is.  Fact is, ACA is nothing but a statutory public subsidy — where the public subsidizes the for-profit insurance industry.

report on healthcare costs in the USA by CoopersLybrand that Joan writes about today indicates that healthcare inflation in 2012 was 3.9%, the lowest inflationary factor since they started tracking it 50 years ago.

And Coopers says that it is directly related to Obamacare ...and say it has not hit full force yet.

There is a significant drop in re-admissions that is a direct result in the coming rules related to this issue.
Better followup and practices have reduced those costly readmissions, all as a result of Obamacare.

which is that Obamacare is a legal mandate forcing individual citizens to directly subsidize a corrupt industry whose greed and rapacious behavior know no bounds. Its very enactment makes a mockery of "healthcare reform".  Like other cases that adopt the name of "reform", this one is just business as usual.
