CHEERS to the Jack-o verdict.  On the one hand, I think he probably did do something criminal.  On the other, I don't think they had the evidence to prove it.  That's our justice system folks and glad to see it still works.

JEERS to people with the OPPOSITE view of the world that I have.  And I mean opposite.
In this article about Columbia MO's relaxation of marijuana laws, the Columbia police chief (who is against decriminalization) said this:

"The whole purpose of the system is to correct people's behavior," Boehm said. "We try municipal court the first time and if that works, then great. But if that doesn't, then we want to be able to try something else, and now we can't."

So what he is saying is... when an adult engages in private behavior that impacts no one but themselves society has a right to deem that behavior "correctable"... I am at a loss.

CHEERS to Howard Dean.  Every day he delivers a little sunshine.

JEERS to Harold Ford Jr., who said "Dean does not speak for me."  Good luck winning that Senate seat buddy without netroots support.

CHEERS to great music.  Check out Ben Folds new one.  Best song:  "Gracie"

JEERS to the Bill-raped-Hillary-begat-Chelsea lie.  If there was ever a moment to be the anti-Dukakis this is it-- Bill should find the first microphone he can and offer to shove it up Klein's ass for besmirching the name of his wife and daughter.

JEERS to being long-winded for a good cause.  Saw Kerry talking about the lynching apology on the Senate floor.  Problem:  he spoke for 5 minutes before I figured out what he was talking about.  Ouch!

And on that note- today's mental I-pod song:

IF I CAN DREAM by Elvis Presley

There must be lights burning brighter somewhere
Got to be birds flying higher in a sky more blue
If I can dream of a better land
Where all my brothers walk hand in hand
Tell me why, oh why, oh why can't my dream come true

There must be peace and understanding sometime
Strong winds of promise that will blow away
    All the doubt and fear
If I can dream of a warmer sun
Where hope keeps shining on everyone
Tell me why, oh why, oh why won't that sun appear

    We're lost in a cloud
    With too much rain
    We're trapped in a world
    That's troubled with pain
But as long as a man
    Has the strength to dream
He can redeem his soul and fly

Deep in my heart there's a trembling question
Still I am sure that the answer gonna come somehow
Out there in the dark, there's a beckoning candle
And while I can think, while I can talk
While I can stand, while I can walk
While I can dream, please let my dream
    Come true, right now
Let it come true right now
    Oh yeah

    Bush will be impeached.
