& he couldn't be gayer, or more homosexual.  Liberace was gay.  Paul Lynde was GAY!  & a brilliant, comic genius.

I was fairly young, but no baby.  We knew gay & GAY! people personally.  It was a breakout time.  Sadly, the bad times aren't over, thanks to some really sick people.  But I'll never stop loving & defending homos.  I'm a Diva to the core.

I love Paul Lynde. Completely love the dude. I'm as straight as straight can be but I totally dug him growing up. What's funny, though, is that I never really thought of him as 'gay'. He was just... Paul Lynde.

I grew up in the early 80's and knew him mostly from Bewitched, some Squares, and random stuff he'd do like Bye Bye Birdie. I guess I'm just totally dense about these things because a couple of years ago I got a hair to look him up online and see what his story was and thought "oh yeah, I guess he was gay...".

Charles Nelson Reilly though... well, I'm not that dense.

I can't believe he would have just been 78. That sucks. He's definitely someone who should have stuck around a lot longer.

By the way, Daily Show's Steve Carrell is playing Lynde's 'Uncle Albert' in the new Bewitched movie. That in itself is enough to pique my interest. I was so stoked when they announced that because several years ago one of Carrell's insane rants made me think he'd be perfect to play Paul Lynde in something...
