    I live in a Northern CA town that has a microniche climate, where we usually don't get a hard freeze in the winter, so a lot of plants that were annuals or house plants when I lived in the Northeast are perennials here (petunias, for example, and a cyclamen was growing by my shed for several years till the ground cover choked it out) but it also gets cool enough at night that plants that need some cool temps do well. I've read that it's a place with one of the widest varieties of plants in the world. So here are some pics
