    thistle to me. PLEASE don't let it go to seed. At least decapitate the flowers before they go to seed. It's a terrible pest in the PNW, can take over open spaces way too easily. thx

      It is not Canadian. It is still considered a noxious weed and when the township cuts the verge, before the thistles go to seed, they are mostly eliminated.

      There are only a few plants along a mile stretch. There is hardly any open area for them to take root as this is 100+ year old deciduous forest and very dense. There is only a 2-3 foot area along the road that gets mowed. No one has much of a lawn or open fields.

      The seeds will not be allowed to mature.
