    damaged goods (no disrespect intended).

Toomey gets beat in a rematch with Sestak and Johnson (not very bright) is dead meat in Wisconsin.  Who, at the beginning really thought Baldwin would beat Thompson in Wisconsin?

I wouldn't think Ayotte is on that firm of ground but you're probably right about the other three.

The Republicans are defending 23 seats.  We lost and lost badly in 2010, and really only held onto the safest Democratic seats in the Senate.  But that means we are defending only 10 seats.  Which of these seats are we going to lose?

      Boxer-CA.  Deep blue
Bennet- CO.  Colorado is looking like a Democratic lock in a presidential year.
      Blumenthal-CT
      Schatz-HI
      Mikulski-MD
      Reid-NV
      Schumer-NY
      Wyden-OR
      Leahy-VT
      Murray-WA

While I would not be surprised to see some of the more senior members like Leahy retire, I'm not exactly shaking in my boots that the Senate seat in the state NOT held by a Socialist is going to go R.  All of these states are pretty blue and getting bluer.  In any case, Republicans aren't really going to be in much of a position to play offense when they're defending two seats for every one that the Democrats defend.  And if we hold the Senate in 2014, there are going to be a fair number of Republican members thinking about retirement rather than spending another six years with with weak chances of getting a chairmanship.  I'm looking at YOU, Chuck Grassley and John McCain.
