    but DIA has given me a challenge or two that were far worse than anything at the old airport. My absolute nastiest approach in 38 years of flying was at DIA in 1999. Microbursts out of nowhere. The forecast was for a beautiful summer day with no weather issues at all. The first we heard about the microburst alert was descending to the airport with no gas to go anywhere else that wasn't experiencing microburst alerts too. The short story is a huge sink rate started at about 700' above the ground with no warning followed by a wild go around almost as bad as the worst I ever saw in simulator training for windshear. Denver weather is sure interesting from an aviation standpoint.
