    There are only 350 million people in the US, and probably one-third of them are under 18 or over 65 and aren't in the labor force.

    So even a ten percent unemployment rate is only 20 million or so people.

    Heck, if we even count infants and old folks as part of the labor force, at ten percent unemployment that's STILL only 35 million.
