like this is the first and only fucking diary about the NSA ever written here. There's been a steady flow of them for last several days, if you haven't noticed.

And I'm TRYING TO HELP YOU, when I suggest you not read this diary. Allergies can make a person miserable, whether they're caused by pollen or person, and I hate to see people suffer.

Though I must say, if these issues were so important to you and others with an aversion to Greenwald, you'd set aside your hang-ups with him and discuss the substance of the article itself.

Instead, you opted to traverse these comments and make it EVEN MORE about Greenwald than it was when it started.

So as I said, you'd be doing these important issues a great service by converting this article to the Greenwald-free version for people incapable of just reading THIS diary.

The diarist already wrote one, now it's your turn. Who knows? Maybe your skills will help a few yawners finally wake up.

Somebody has to do something, and it's just incredibly pathetic that it has to be us.

    •  Then this diary is pointless? I disagree. (0+ / 0-)

I think this author's take on the issue could contribute meaningfully to the discussion. I disagree with your insistence that ignoring it and only reading other diaries is a good solution.

And no, you are not trying to help me. You are leaping to the defense of someone you've decided is on your team, and coming up with what you hope are clever-sounding ways to dismiss any objections. Please, drop the idiotic pretense. I really don't need your help, and the issue here is not my happiness.

I'd also like to remind you that the diarist himself brought up the problem of people reacting to Greenwald and making this about him, personally. I'm sorry this fallen world isn't good enough for you, but here we are. Let's call your "everyone should act the way I want" strategy Plan A. On the off-chance Plan A doesn't pan out, perhaps it would be worth considering Plan B: don't highlight something that you don't wish to make central to the discussion.
