  •  Non-sexism tip: It's "Clinton and Obama" (3+ / 0-)

or "Hillary and Barack." Using the woman's first name and the man's last name is an old and no-longer-acceptable inequality of treatment. It's like referring to the help as "Daisy" and the master as "Mr. Jones."

Yes, it's complicated when we have two Clintons, his and hers -- but the context and photo would make it clear which one you're talking about.

    •  Disagree. Hillary's own campaign used "Hillary" (5+ / 0-)

as their brand, just like Eisenhower used "Ike."  By contrast, the Obama campaign used "Obama" and the ever-present "O."  Hillary and Obama is appropriate, just by virtue of how they have branded THEMSELVES.

Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room!

      •  That doesn't mean you have to fall for the grift (0+ / 0-)

Of course some politicians want you to call them by their first name put 'er there pal!

Except, they are not our pals. They are pandering to you. It's a political ploy. Not one of us is required to play along.

Is that not correct, SoS Clinton?
