I fully support the Second Amendment and an individual's right to own firearms
*And that's why he's a member of a DKos group that wants to repeal the Second Amendment. To demonstrate his full support for it, I guess.

Repeal or Amend the Second Amendment (RASA)
There are many sensible gun owners among the members of RASA.
      •  Sure, an amendment from "Repeal or Amend (0+ / 0-)

the second Amendment" is sure to "respect the second Amendment"

You are right to deny yours and his intentions......but it is too late; we already know.

Those who would sacrifice liberty for security deserve neither.

and magazines, but misrepresenting the position of someone (by effectively renaming the group by deleting this key word) is just fine.  Even if I wanted to repeal the Second Amendment, which I have never advocated, there is absolutely nothing wrong with me having that position - so once again it is about attacking the messenger and avoiding the issue: we need uniform sensible firearm regulations like licensing, registration and full background checks, and none of these violate any person's rights (other than criminals).

No one is claiming that you can't advocate any position you want (after all, I'm not a member of 'Repeal or Amend the First Amendment'.)

However we can ascertain both your reasonableness on the subject & your honesty (or rather, lack of) when you laughably claim that you "fully support the Second Amendment", while being a member of "Repeal or Amend the Second Amendment".

Those who would sacrifice liberty for security deserve neither.
