What an empathic person you are!

"Forgiveness" is a concept that his heralded as the be-all-end-all for past wrongs by many people of certain religions (and some with no religion at all).  While forgiveness often is a wonderful thing, I do NOT put it on a pedestal.  Some things, in my opinion, are unforgiveable.  I think that whether one chooses to forgive or not is up to the individual, but that choice hopefully won't be shaped by society's notion that forgiveness is the only path to moving forward with one's life.  Revenge is almost never a good idea (it just perpetuates negativity and worse), but forgiveness is also sometimes not a good idea.  Forgiveness really is up the the individual and one is not flawed in any way by choosing not to forgive.
