Wasn't he a Daily Kos-endorsed candidate? These politicians may represent red districts, but on issues such as these, you put people before politics; quit worrying about future elections. This is why I refuse to contribute to congressional candidates; my money can make more of a difference at the local or state level.

    •  Right now we are in more democrats mode. (0+ / 0-)

the job and are bribed up to kazoo.   And then, besides the myriad ways they can be bribed, some are subject to peer pressure too much.

I contributed like mad to our last congressional race here for Norman Solomon(who didn't win) but who had walked the walk of justice and democracy so long...I was as certain as could be he would never be bought ...and I'd do it again.

The one who won that race, Huffman, is holding the line for people pretty well...and voted NO on the Farm Bill and also had taken the SNAP challenge, and although he appears to be an "honorable man"...he is a career politician...so we will keep an eye out... just in case.

Dollarocracy is to death & decay as Democracy is to life on our planet. When will the U.S. have democracy?

for support, or have been presented to us as "our kind" of Dems,  only to not be so supportive of our issues when in office.

I have seen a tendency of DKos being a bit star-struck to have actual candidates acknowledge our existence, and not be diligent enough in examining candidates.  Especially in the early years.  We are getting a little more savvy now.
