  •  I might pose the same question to you (6+ / 0-)

Although I'd try to phrase it more grammatically.

And that one was a really good example of it!

Somebody has to do something, and it's just incredibly pathetic that it has to be us.

      fingers tripped me up.

It’s the Supreme Court, stupid! Followed by: It's always the Supreme Court! Progressives will win only when we convince a majority that they, too, are Progressive.

I don't think Snowden is a "saint" although I admire his courage in revealing these unconstitutional and un-American domestic spying programs.  I can admire the courage it takes to make that decision and the principle behind it.  Doesn't mean I think he's perfect, and it damn sure doesn't mean that any flaws Snowden might have are in any way pertinent to the discussion he opened.

It's the president who's been shown to be dishonest in his earlier pronouncements to reverse Bush-era national security abuses.  It's the president who's lying to us, repeatedly and obviously, even now.  It's the president who, once again, has been shown to have feet of clay.  The obvious fan club here is having a very difficult time dealing with that, and the pathetic excuses and distractions they're coming up with would engender sympathy if they weren't excusing such dangerous and reprehensible behavior from the government.
