  •  Good morning good people (29+ / 0-)

I hope everyone is well this morning. The weather here is perfect, fairly cool and clear, and KBO and I are headed off to Longwood shortly for a walk and a photo shoot and hopefully I'll bring back a lot of nice photos and some fresh produce from the farmer's market -- Jersey tomatoes, silver queen white corn, peaches and whatever else looks good.

I've got a lot more to say about these terror alerts and I hope nothing bad happens today, but all the news about NSA/intelligence tips that led to these warnings really seem quite convenient for people who have been under pressure this past week to provide specific information about the attacks they've prevented with their billions, trillions of communications hoovered up on Americans and harmless people all over the world.

Three major jail breaks in countries where we've wreaked havoc... some of those are countries where Al Qaeda didn't even exist before we invaded or started drone strikes... these things are never mentioned in the news reports.  Nor is it mentioned that we're providing major league material support to Syrian opposition militias, and the strongest militias are Al Qaeda associates.  This is just crazy.  Things are really unraveling.

    I'll check back later.  Peace.

We did have a really nice walk and I took a lot of pictures.  And I mean a LOT.  I'm looking at them now.  Let me count... 477 photos.  Yeah it will take awhile to get through these.

I saw a ton of bees of various types and quite a few swallowtail butterflies but I did not see even one monach, which make me sad.  By this time last year, I'm pretty sure there were monarchs and definitely by the end of the summer there were, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed and I'm also going to buy milkweed seeds.  I should have planted some for them this year but I didn't.  So I think that most seeds can be planted in the fall before the frost and then they germinate in the spring.  I've really got to get my act together with this garden.  It's improving but it's nothing like it was before I got sick.

Anyway I hope your day went well.  I've got all the windows open, which is quite a surprise in August.
