  •  Are we supposed to believe that Obama (3+ / 0-)

would nominate a person to head the FBI who doesn't agree with him on how the agency should operate, just to placate the Republicans?  I think we better face up to the fact that the president knows how Comey intends the agency to function, and he agrees with the nominee's intentions.

that Obama the Wicked specifically said "He asks the hard questions."  I like that in an FBI Director.  I also find it amusing that a man who is known, assuming you read, for wanting people around him with multiple viewpoints is endlessly criticized for surrounding himself with people with multiple viewpoints.  Cuz we need a leader in a bubble doncha know.  It worked so well with W and Reagan.

I suspect that being the President of Everybody works better if Everybody has a voice.  You make the wisest decisions if you're exposed to all points of view, don't you?  Fear of dissent reflects weakness- McConnell's whine fest is a brilliant example of that.

      Just a thought.

I just don't want one running the FBI.

      •  Do all Democrats have the exact same viewpoint? (1+ / 0-)

I'm fine with having multiple viewpoints.  But does one of those viewpoints have to be the Republican one that says all government is incompetent and evil, that all taxes are theft, that all entitlements are handouts, etc...

I don't want an FBI director who fundamentally believes that his job is to serve his corporate masters instead of all the American people.  Becuase that's who Republicans are today.

        •  And you know this is his POV how? (0+ / 0-)

Because he stopped a Cheney end run?  Because he's a Republican?  Because Obama chose him?  Because anything Obama does is not True Progressive enough so it has to be a slap in the face?

    •  I do (0+ / 0-)

Because to me, it looks like that is exactly what happened.  Was this guy really top of his list, or just who he thought he could get confirmed without endless filibuster?
