Just because the pathocracy responds to all possible criticism with flames does not make criticizing them "flame bait."  If you can't acknowledge the fundamental legitimacy of mocking people who can't be bothered with facts or reason, then you're part of the problem.

around the other direction and it would be just as true. Your persistent inability to see this is rather unsettling, I must say.

Self-awareness doesn't seem to be your strong suit in this particular area.

I don't fall for it when the media blames "both sides" for the partisan gridlock in Washington, and I'm not going to fall for it when you claim my snark diaries mildly critiquing Obama derangement are equivalent to the  bellowing quasi-teabagger lunatics they mock.

Your comment is akin to some Libertarian coming to this site and saying "Don't you silly libruls see how both parties are the same problem!  Democrat, Republican, what's the difference?!  Bloods and crips!"  That's an asinine comment that would be rightly HR'd into oblivion.

is the same as a fucking Daily Kos meta war.

It's all the left's fault. The critics are to blame.

          Same bullshit, different venue.

Critics deal with facts and welcome evidence of being wrong when their conclusions are negative.  People who are just at war with the Democratic Party operate a bit differently.

But it truly crossed the line when we were accused of willing to follow the president to the showers. When we were accused of turning a blind eye to a police state. When we were slammed for merely offering a different point of view on Snowden.

As you stated Troubadour, we weren't allowed to defend ourselves without being insulted from here to eternity. Their point of view was not allowed to be challenged, even by people who knew a thing or two about the legalities of the NSA.

Bullies through and through. Pretty despicable behavior.

Some people have a real problem with Snowden stealing classified secrets and then leaving the country, which is a pretty normal reaction to have actually.

              •  Yep, totally despicable. (2+ / 0-)

On the subject of Snowden, releasing the information seems justified, but fleeing the country rather than proving his seriousness by defending his actions in a US court does seem like the act of a pretty arrogant and self-interested person.  Maybe the public benefits from the acts of an arrogant and self-interested person who becomes at odds with an institution full of worse, but acknowledging that doesn't require pretending the man is other than dubious.
