  •  First off: Great cars.... (3+ / 0-)

Volkswagern's truly are driver's cars. Still driving my 2000 Passat with 155,000 miles. Tight as a drum, superb handling, my turbo kicks me past others when changing lanes and the interior is nice and quiet.

The thing is made of steel and yet is as nimble as you please.

Secondly., Germany doesn't seem to be hurting too much from having unions. All the union busting the corporatists engage in hasn't helped the middle class and hasn't help bring in revenue for the government.

Good for VW for insisting that workers be represented. In America, this is a shocking notion and I really think they should have opened the plant somewhere friendlier to workers, but this is a noble step.

If you hate government, don't run for office in that government.
