    If the pilot's good, see, I mean if he's reeeally sharp, he can barrel that baby in so low... oh you oughta see it sometime. It's a sight. A big plane like a '52... varrrooom! Its jet exhaust... frying chickens in the barnyard!

      I think that most B52 navs DID have a sense of humor originally. But thousands of hours spent sweating in the BUF basement, with no lights, no windows, little career progression, next to the fragrant “toilet”, may have adversely affected more than our ears and eyesight.   I've seen lots of beautiful places.....on radar.  Still, it was an interesting time, spent with some highly skilled aviators. Any pilot who can refuel a BUF in bumpy wx coulda been a successful neurosurgeon, in my book. Keep your chapters coming, Major Kong, very enjoyable reading.
