    is that if it's legalized at a national level, it will be legalized in such a way that, for example, would allow tobacco companies to get a hold of it to expand their market.  Which would mean they'd probably put additives in it to make it more addictive and such, like they did with cigarettes.

      3/4 million people arrested each year. Mostly they will unable to get student loans, hold govt. jobs ( and many others as well),  and apply for some assistance programs. Vast corruption of police departments, the inability of researchers to do real research on cannabis because of it's schedule 1 status. The list is long.
      Sure, legalization will bring some of it's own problems, just as legalizing alcohol did, but prohibition is worse.

      People who use pot now grow it themselves or know someone who does. That is not going to stop in WA because the law changed to make it legal. People are still going to grow it in their basements like they do now.

      I just dont think that can be done with pot, unless you can prove it has an already addictive quality.
