I found myself, bizarrely I thought, arguing online against those confidently suggesting that the proper response was to invade Iraq.  I thought that made no sense and said so.   But the other party was smugly, superlatively confident that not only was invading Iraq what we should do but what we would do.  I said "no way even Dubya Bush is that foolish."  Guess I was wrong and Mr. Confident knew exactly what he was talking about.

The Bush cabal was drumming up interest to invade or crush Iraq. So their designation of that country as a target after was no surprise, although the convoluted justifications were.

how a Bush ..any Bush got into the head of the CIA, presidents, governors when Grandaddy pulled the crap he pulled during WWII and was only sanctioned for his involvement with the Nazis.   We have Snowden being drug in for espionage but we had a senator dealing with the enemy.   Seems the Bushs are too big to fail..or prosecute but they sure didn't mind f's up a lot of lives.

as the techie saying has it, that's a feature, not a bug.  I realize that can be very rough to swallow, especially when you're a person that's done what it seems you can to keep things otherwise.  But if we're ever to get out of this mess, we have to acknowledge all its elements, distasteful as some definitely are.
