  •  It's hard to imagine what they do (8+ / 0-)

is justice.  I like the quote you used and the one that adds, "Justice must be seen to be believed."  The body of federal law that is made of unpublished cases, some 80% of judicial decisions are also essentially secret.  It's been argued before that they are unconstitutional and a good way for judges to hide their shenanigans. We have become East Germany and it's got to stop.  Even if the US Chamber of Commerce likes the court they've put on the bench to do this, the bipedal citizens who actually get to vote need to make it clear, this has got to stop.

    Shine like the humblest star.

    •  Actually the unpublished decisions are "published" (4+ / 0-)

in various places, they're just not recognized as precedent.  The FISA "court" issues top secret opinions, and operates as far as anyone can tell as a rubber stamp for whatever the government wants.  I see no limiting feature and I don't believe the claim that the judges are a meaningful check on the government.

You have exactly 10 seconds to change that look of disgusting pity into one of enormous respect!
