    fav was the Boss, but since I suspect most of you may have heard a song or two of his, I thought I'd share 3 other artists that didn't quite make it so big.

    Beat Farmers, a "reckless western" band that put on a fantastic live show.  Their special effects involved strobe lights and beer.  One of the highlights was always their cover of Kenny Rogers Lucille

    Next, Joe Ely

    Finally, The Blasters with their signature tune, American Music from Farm Aid in '85

    Other '80's artists that I really enjoyed included Los Lobos, Tom Petty, John Mellencamp and U2 - first saw them at a club in Denver for $4, also had tickets to the Red Rocks show that put them over the top, but I didn't go :(.
