    As a general trend, having dived Roatan for some years now, I'm noticing that the filter feeders (not counting the whale sharks) are doing very well: the sponges and gorgonians are exceptionally healthy, and there are lots of plankton feeding fish, like the creole wrasses. Large fish populations are way down though, like groupers. However, French Harbor, down by AKR, has recently been added to the Roatan Marine Park and they are enforcing fishing exclusion as best they can. Apparently there's some small improvement there.

    I'm about to do some number crunching using my dive log data, and hope to post my observations here soon about changes I've observed.
