  •  So (0+ / 0-)

the principal complaint is a lack of transparency due to the nature of the only means by which three nations can collect the evidence, and the exceptionally rigorous standard by which the UN will accept said evidence?

And that, to you, is 'weak at best?'

    •  Yes (0+ / 0-)

Why not demand that a red line is cutting the head off someone?

The discussion is not about Syria using chemical weapons like was used in WWI. Or nuclear weapons like we used in Japan. The argument here is Syria might have used weapons in a small scale against a specific target.

And all of a sudden I'm to get all hot and bothered while at the same time ignoring the Islamic extremists that have the same thinking as Al Qaeda?

No not ignoring, funding people that we know the arms will wind up in their hands. Just like arms for Libya 'freedom' wound up in Mali.

Let's say, for the sake of argument, everything you're saying is fact.

        What should we do?

        •  If we want 'Peace' (0+ / 0-)

Peace means getting all sides together and openly presenting a future.

Right now, we have Saudi Arabia pushing us against Iran. How one country with no sense of democracy or human rights can do that, pisses me off. Because the only answer is pure greed.

For Syria, we have to have EVERY country in the region involved. We can't pretend Saudi and Qatar funding and arming Syrian extremists is not 'involvement' while demanding Iran and Hizballah not be involved. No one takes us serious.

Sunni extremists blew up another car bomb in Damascus today and killed a 14 year old.

You think the Syrians want this as the future of their nation? And our silence when these terrorists attacks happen speaks volume of our level of hatred of 'terrorism'.

My reality is of the people, not of the lying politicians. Did you see Jon Stewart on barnamag al barnamag? A Jewish kid from the U.S. gets a standing ovation in Egypt. Why? Because him and and Basam Yousef both are fighting the stupid government. The same stupid press.

Basam Yousef had a very funny song making fun of the fact that Qatar can mean both 'nation' and the nation of Qatar. Everyone knows how much Qatar spent to put Mursi in power.

What you ask, I could go on for quite some time, but no one gives a damn. In the end, as long as oil and natural gas are being sucked up and shipped, the State Dept feels it has done its job in promoting U.S. interests in the region. A few bloggers aren't going to change it.
