    They may go too far from time to time, but they're good people trying to do right.

    Much like OWS and some of the other good people on the Left who make me cringe from time to time.

      or more to the left. The absolutism PETA seems to demand may turn us off, but the work they do can't be undervalued so long as we share their ideals.

      A lot of the hate I see of the organization seems to be based on the propaganda from the other side. That is, I think, a mistake. PETA has a role and they do good things, and their ideals are not opposed to progressive ideals. Solidarity doesn't always mean having to be in lock-step on every point.

      Solidarity to PETA, I say, keep up the fight.

      I think they are deeply misguided and most of them don't spend enough time around animals to understand them well.

      They would turn all the animals to Be Free, out into the woods. Or, they would have them never live at all.

      There's nothing wrong with animal husbandry done well.

      Indeed, do we turn our children loose in the woods? No, not so much.

      Fry, don't be a hero! It's not covered by our health plan!
