Has posted multiple comments is the past 2 days always suggesting Snowden is in China, which is a meme s/he has been stuck on for days.

There is no evidence of this. We don't know where Snowden is and there is no credible evidence to suggest (a) he is in China (b) Chinese spy/whatever.

Begins to sound like CT to me.

I suppose, if we are patient and stick to known facts, we will learn where Snowdon soon enough.

MSM speculation adds fuel to the fire, but this is supposed to be a fact oriented site.

      Fact: we don't know.

BTW, Guardian is reporting Ecuadorian Foreign Minister Ricardo Patiño Aroca will hold a press conference in Hanoi soon, perhaps that will clarify something.

I'm actually quite interested in your observations on this situation from an EU and particularly German perspective because, obviously, Germans had some difficult history to face on such issues particularly in the Post War East, and I found since revelation of the UK's program, several German politicians have reacted strongly.

I think Germans have some valuable experience and something to say on this issue, would you consider writing a diary on it soon?

I am planning to write another diary in maybe a few days after things calm down and offer some perspective from Chinese experience.

The focus should be off Snowden and on to the real issues of privacy, security, etc., which is complex but important.

Also, you can see the excellent articles linked in Meteor Blades diary today here and including this and this.
