  •  Voters love this stuff (6+ / 0-)

Booker has some of the best political instincts out there.  I know there are people here who are not fans, but rescuing a dog, shoveling a consituent's driveway after a tweet request, and all that other stuff is great personal marketing.

Nobody gives a shit about this stuff, in partisan races.  It does play in primaries though, where personality dominates similarity on issues.

Whatever, Cory Booker. It’s one thing to save someone from a burning house when you’re in your late 30s or early 40s.  I mean, who hasn’t done that, right? But try being all heroic when you’re old enough to be a grandfather.

I’d like to see Mayor Booker lift a friggin car off someone at the age of 61. Because that’s what Kansas City’s Mayor Sly James just did. Oh yeah, and his name is Sly. Mayor Sly James.

He used to be a Marine, but is mostly just a very decent human being …who happens to be a superhero. How do I know this? Because isn’t this totally what a superhero would tweet after an incident like this:

Hey folks, no heroism involved in the car incident.  I was there looking at re-habbed houses when we heard the scream and we all rushed over.
Mmmhmmm. Just as I suspected. Superhero. I mean, he just happened to be nearby and rushed over? Totally superhero cover. I’m just wondering who his sidekick is...
