    TXDPS News
Wasting not a second, TX Attorney General, Greg Abbott, immediately required Photo ID for elections.
Copies of (DL-14C) are available online and have to be turned in with supporting documentation to DPS offices.

The only way this can be effective for Republicans is if they try to push through last-minute changes that the DOJ doesn't have time to strike before the election.

His political power play here will mean that the Texas law is wiped clean well before the 2014 election. Where it becomes a problem is in places like Ohio, where they smartly pushed this shit through in October, not giving the DOJ much time to react.

Power play or not it muddies the water with potential electorate who may not register because they think this will stand.
At my precinct during a special election July '12 the poll workers didn't even have a clear story as to what the voter id would be (it was in the courts still at that time). They also could not understand why photo id is a poll tax.
        ps.How's it going?
