    •  You'd fit right in... (5+ / 0-)

....with the conservatives who regularly screamed for the Warren court to be impeached.

      •  Even more pathetic. (0+ / 0-)

You're telling me the solution to a brazenly partisan Supreme Court majority radically and arbitrarily altering US law every time Republicans lose an election is to pass more laws for them to radically and arbitrarily throw away or alter, and try harder to elect Democrats as they throw more and more obstacles in our path and allow Republicans to get away with more and more criminal voter suppression tactics.

I'm sorry, this is where I draw the line.  You're welcome to draw it in 2040, when the successors to the Roberts Court are ruling that voting against Republicans violates their 1st Amendment rights to take whatever they want.

        •  Be comforted in this... (5+ / 0-)

Historically, there have been many people who shared your opinion on impeachment as a remedy for SCOTUS opinions they didn't like.

          •  Why do you keep trivializing what they've done (0+ / 0-)

here and what they've done historically to dictate the outcomes of elections as my "not liking" it?  These are fundamental issues of rule of law, judicial integrity, and the right of the people to elect their government.

I'm trivialising what you've done here.

You're clearly a smart guy. Why not put your efforts towards something that has more than a 0% chance of happening. Here's an idea...if you can keep Dems in the Senate and White House, you'll be able to replace the conservative Justices one by one as they retire. And that just means working elections. Indeed, this could be a major motivator to getting minorities (who vote in low numbers in midterms) to the polls in the 2014 elections. Did you ever think about that?

Which has a better chance of happening...winning elections, or this impeachment fantasy that frankly does put you in the exact same league as the people who wanted to impeach the Warren court for much the same reasons (ignoring the Constitution, illegal over reach, etc) that you've listed here.

But again, what are you really interested in? Results, or outrage?
